WATCH BOTH SIDES OF HARRY REID’S TWO FACES IN THIS SHORT VIDEO
The US Senate is expected to vote Thursday (tomorrow) on Dem. Majority Leader Harry Reid’s proposal to do away with the filibuster – that rule which allows the minority (Republicans now, but Dems in the past and hopefully in the future!) to keep bad legislation or nominations from going forward IF there are at least 41 of them to do so. The two-faced, hypocritical stand that Reid is taking is shown in this short video, comparing and contrasting his stand when the Dems were in the minority to his stand now that they are in the majority in the Senate. We Texans are grateful that both our Senators (Cornyn and Cruz) are committed to voting NOT to change the filibuster rule. Thanks, Senators
HAVE LUNCH WITH ATTORNEY GENERAL GREG ABBOTT
Have you been wondering about the various lawsuits that our state’s Attorney General Greg Abbott has filed against the federal government? The ones concerning photo id for voting, fighting the EPA’s onerous regulations, funding abortion providers with Texas tax dollars, and many others. Well, you can find out firsthand how these are going along with other important information for Texans next week at a special fundraising luncheon for your DCRP with Gen. Abbott speaking. Below is the invitation; please call or click to register online. This will be a great experience!

Roe v. Wade – 40 years of Abortion
Tuesday marked 40 years and 55 million pre-born babies killed since the infamous abortion-legalizing ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court. While Texas is a strong pro-life state, there is still work to be done to defund Planned Parenthood completely, as well as other pro-life issues. Several bills have been or will be introduced in the Texas legislature and I urge you to follow them closely if the sanctity of life is one of your “hot issues.” This link can help you follow legislation on this – or any other – topic through the session. http://www.capitol.state.tx.
Warm Republican regards,
