To Denton County Republicans --- GOOD JOB and THANKS !!!!!!

Last night -- Election Night – was very rewarding here in Denton County as all of our candidates won, including those running for state-wide offices. Of course, the rest of the country didn’t share our political wisdom and instead gave Sen. Obama the office of President of the United States.

But we certainly were a bright spot in the political scene here in Denton County, and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank each of you who helped us exceed the margin of victory that was our Texas Victory goal: we provided nearly 150,000 for Sen, John Cornyn, several thousand more than the 142,000 goal we had been given!

We had more than 1000 Denton County Republicans who volunteered in our Victory efforts, and it was those door knockers, phoners, sign assemblers, headquarters workers, literature bag stuffers, snack providers, data enterers, election workers, poll watchers, area organizers, precinct chairs and DCRP officers. You all truly are awesome and did a magnificent job! Without the help from each of you, this overwhelming victory simply would not have happened.

So – you all know who you are, and we know who you are – there truly are too many to list here, but please know that the DCRP and our candidates are very, very grateful.

On Thursday, November 20, we will have a special Volunteer Recognition Dinner and any Denton County Republican who was any part of this Victory effort is welcome to attend. The dinner is $25 per person, and reservations can be made with our HQ – 940/321-2671 or on line at dinner@dentongop.org. Space is limited, so do make your reservation as soon as possible. It will be a great evening with special entertainment and lots of “good job!” recognitions.

Again – THANK YOU for all of your help, your prayers and your financial support. We will continue to build the DCRP in preparation for the critical 2010 legislative elections which will determine how re-districting in Texas is done after the census. And we hope that you will also be a part of those efforts to keep both Denton County and Texas RED!
