Diwali at the Beach

Diwali, or Dipawali, is India’s biggest and most important holiday of the year. The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects them from spiritual darkness.

The 2nd Annual Diwali at the Beach in Little Elm, Texas was filled with food, fun, and fellowship, celebrating this important holiday. Many Republican Elected Officials supported the conservative Indian Community at this festival. Attorney General Ken Paxton and wife State Senator Angela Paxton, State Senator Drew Springer, Commissioner of Agriculture Sid Miller, Richard Hayes, Candidate for Texas House Representative 57, Mayor GerardHudspethh of Denton, Mayor TJ Gilmore of Lewisville, and Councilman Dewayne Brawner of Aubrey all joined in the festivities.
