United States experienced the worst terrorist attack in American history

On this tragic day in history, Sept. 11, 2001, Americans and the entire world watched as two airplanes slammed into the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers in New York City while a third plane crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. We are reminded that evil does exist in our world and we need to support our police, fire and military who stand against it. We remember and are thankful that we have heroes in America like the Firefighters that ran up the stairs into danger as building employees fled down and Tod Beamer and fellow passengers who gave their lives stopping a 4th plane that was 20 minutes from either the Whitehouse or the Capitol Building. In remembrance and honor of those heroes our verse for the week comes straight from our Lord Jesus: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15.13
