Experience
Over the course of working for the people of House District 63, State Representative Tan Parker, our Republican nominee for Senate District 12, has accomplished great results for the betterment of our state through common-sense conservative principles that honor and protect Texas values. Being elected to serve the people of Denton County and fight for the betterment of Texas is something he commonly refers to as the highest honor of his professional life.
Upon taking office in 2007, Representative Parker sought to change the perception of a bureaucratic, distant government to one that meets people where they are and opens the door for greater hope and prosperity. He strongly believes we must make government work for the people it serves. After all, as Texans, we have a strong desire to cultivate and defend freedom and opportunity.
Accomplishments
Representative Parker’s legislative accomplishments reflect these ideas, having championed, and supported sound fiscal policies to keep Texas an economic leader—accountable to the taxpayers who shoulder the burden every day. He has also fought to pass legislative improvements that protect our children, crackdown on human trafficking, enhance border security, save the lives of the unborn, reform criminal justice, strengthen election integrity, preserve our Texas history, stop woke ideology in our schools, and lower property taxes.
Top Priorities
Representative Parker believes government service to the people must be rooted in purpose. This has guided him to understand and appreciate the great need to listen and take bold steps to make certain Texas remains the beacon of liberty today and for generations to come.
Representative Parker shared with us that “while we have accomplished much together, our work is not yet done. Standing with grassroots Republicans, I am prepared and ready to fight for our conservative values in the Texas Senate and be a strong voice for the people of SD12.”
