Lacey Riley is currently the Chair of the Denton County Republican Party. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) and businesswoman, known for her strong support of conservative, pro-Trump values. Lacey was selected as the interim chair in 2023 and has been leading efforts to revitalize the Denton County GOP, focusing on grassroots mobilization, voter turnout, and restoring the party’s finances after a period of decline.
Before becoming chair, she served as a precinct chair and played a significant role in increasing voter participation and electoral success for Republican candidates in Denton County. Her leadership focuses on uniting Republicans in the area to counter liberal policies and ensuring strong Republican representation in upcoming elections
Ronnie Jones is the 1st Vice Chairman of the Denton County Republican Party, where he serves as the Victory Election Leader. In this role, he focuses on key election strategies and helps drive the party’s efforts to win elections throughout Denton County. His responsibilities include mobilizing voters, ensuring strong turnout, and working closely with other Republican Party leaders to support conservative values in local, state, and national elections
Heather Moss is the current Secretary of the Denton County Republican Party. In her role, she manages administrative responsibilities, including maintaining records of meetings and ensuring effective communication within the party leadership. She is actively involved in Denton County Republican activities and works alongside other officers to support conservative initiatives and help the party maintain strong organizational oversight. Heather is also listed as a key point of contact for precinct-level information within the Denton County GOP structure.
Michael Sturtevant is the current Treasurer of the Denton County Republican Party. His responsibilities include overseeing the financial management of the party, ensuring proper accounting, and managing contributions and expenditures, including for the Denton County Republican Victory Fund. Sturtevant is based in Plano, Texas, and works to ensure the financial integrity and transparency of the party’s funds, particularly in relation to campaign finance regulations set by the Federal Election Commission. His role is crucial in supporting the party’s financial health and ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support Republican candidates and initiatives in Denton County
Larry Lipscomb is currently serving as the Sergeant-at-Arms for the Denton County Republican Party. In this role, he is responsible for maintaining order during party meetings and events, ensuring that the party’s rules and procedures are followed, and assisting in any situations that require enforcement of discipline within the organization. The position of Sergeant-at-Arms is important for facilitating smooth operations during official party activities and gatherings.
He works alongside other party officers, such as the county chair, treasurer, and secretary, to support the Denton County GOP’s initiatives.
Robert Ramirez is the Parliamentarian for the Denton County Republican Party. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that meetings and proceedings within the party follow parliamentary procedure, maintaining order, and advising on rules of conduct. His involvement with the Denton County GOP contributes to the smooth operation of meetings and helps uphold the party’s bylaws and standing rules. He plays a crucial role in ensuring that all party business is conducted in accordance with formal guidelines.
Additionally, Ramirez serves as a judge for Denton County Court at Law No. 2, where he has held office since 2010, further showcasing his extensive legal experience and commitment to the Denton County community.
Debra Liva is the Chaplain for the Denton County Republican Party. In addition to her role in the party, she is the founder and director of “In Child’s Best Interest” (I.C.B.I.), an organization dedicated to advocating for children with special needs and their rights to appropriate educational services. She has extensive experience working in special education, advocating for parents and children in various settings such as mediations, ARD meetings, and even court cases. Her work focuses on empowering parents and attorneys to ensure children receive the services they need under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). She was also recognized with the 2016 Diane Lipton Award for Outstanding Educational Advocacy
