About Me
I am a 53-year-old mother of 5 beautiful daughters and Mimi to 5 wonderful grandchildren. I believe in raising strong, independent, conservative young ladies and strive to set that example for them. My passion for public service and wanting to make the Denton County Clerk’s Office everything it could be prompted me to run for the office in 2014. I love Denton County and wouldn’t raise my children anywhere else!
Experience
I started working in the Denton County Clerk’s Office in 2005 as a Deputy Clerk I. I was soon promoted to Clerk III and then Senior Clerk. Learning the office from the inside out assisted in a smooth transition to the elected office holder in 2015. Building on 9 years of previous experience, I put together a team of like-minded, motivated people that share my enthusiasm for public service and a strong commitment to excellence. I have established relationships with our legislators on the state and national level to help move legislation as necessary. We are here to work for you!
Vision
I am seeking reelection to continue streamlining our internal processes in order to best serve our public. Since taking office, we’ve added 3 new satellite locations throughout the county in addition to the 3 previous locations. One project we have coming up will be our “Thank a Veteran” program. As individuals come into Recording to apply for their assumed name, we will alert them to the program to offer discounts to our veterans and have them listed on our website. We have the unique opportunity to show our appreciation for those that fought for our freedoms, as we record both military discharge paperwork and the new business names.
