The 45-47 Club held its fourth quarterly luncheon of 2026, and it was a blast. The room was full of patriots and energy from start to finish. Old friends caught up, new faces got welcomed in, and you could feel the momentum building as we head into the final stretch before Election Day.
This club is a big reason Denton County is doing so well. Its members stepped up to help fund the Denton County Republican Party, and that support shows up everywhere you look. They’re why we can print as many signs as we do, put up as many billboards as we have, and keep the lights on. Every yard sign in a neighbor’s lawn and every billboard on the highway traces back to people who decided to invest in their county. That kind of commitment doesn’t make headlines, but it wins elections.
Welcoming Our Newest Members
One of our favorite parts of every luncheon is celebrating the people who’ve just joined the 45-47 Club. We called our newest members up front and presented each of them with our ceremonial wine bottle, a tradition we love. It’s our way of saying thank you for stepping up and investing in Denton County.
There’s one small problem: these bottles are getting hard to find. We know more new members are coming, and we want every one of them to get the same welcome. So cross your fingers for us, and if you spot them out there, please let us know!
Senator Tan Parker Holds the Room
Our 4th quarter speaker was State Senator Tan Parker, and he delivered an informative, high-energy speech. If you’ve never heard Tan speak, you’re missing out. He grabs your attention, holds onto it, and respects it by giving you the information you actually came to hear. There’s no fluff and no wasted time. You walk out knowing more than when you walked in.
He talked about Y’all Street, Texas’s growing place in the financial world. Business is choosing Texas, and that’s a reflection of the leadership and policies that make our state a place where people want to build.
He also spoke about young Texans being priced out of owning a home. Homeownership has always been how families build security and put down roots. When a whole generation can’t get in the door, that’s a problem for all of us, and Tan made it clear it has to change.
He talked about property insurance costs climbing out of reach for Texas families, and his fight to bring them down. It’s one of the biggest pressures on household budgets right now, and it was good to hear a leader take it head-on.
And he called on Republicans to stay unified. We get more done when we pull in the same direction, and with Election Day just weeks away, that message couldn’t come at a better time.
A Surprise Visit From Our State Chair
I was surprised to see our Texas GOP Chair, D’rinda Randall, walk into the room. She got up and fired up the crowd before Tan took the stage, and set the tone for the rest of the afternoon.
Her message was simple: we have the energy on our side, but that energy has to turn into votes. Enthusiasm is great, but it only counts on Election Day if it shows up at the ballot box. She reminded everyone that the Republican Party is what stands between Texans and destructive, expensive policies, and it’s on all of us to make sure our friends, families, and neighbors vote.
