The energy in Denton County is unmistakable. What started as a simple training on the Abbott Impact App has become a powerful movement of everyday citizens ready to defend freedom this November.
This was our second class, and the response has been nothing short of amazing. We plan for 20 to 30 people each time. Instead, more than 60 showed up. We had to turn people away online and open a brand new training for August 18. That session is already filling fast.
Denton County Chair Melinda Preston captured the moment perfectly after Saturday’s packed room:
“We had a place packed. Everybody was excited, wanting to learn, ready to move, ready to take action. We were sharing about the Abbott Impact App and how they could use it from just sitting on their couch. So many people were engaged, ready to go, ready to use it, ready to get involved. We’ve got people just wanting to do something to help with the elections in November, which is incredible. We’ve got hundreds of people now that are rising up and saying, ‘Hey, give me something to do.’ That to me shows that in November we’ve got an army, a force to be reckoned with. People are waking up. People are going to their churches, getting people involved, wanting to register voters. That was a lot of the topic on Saturday. And to me that right there shows we’re not gonna lose. We’re not gonna lose in November. We’ve got people who are gonna stand up and say, ‘Not on my watch.’”
With the two classes already held, roughly 120 new volunteers are prepared to hit the ground running. The August 18 training will push that number even higher. Hundreds of Denton County residents are stepping forward, not only with their time and effort but also with their talent and treasure. People are donating. People are mobilizing. The message is clear: We are going to keep freedom here. We are not going to allow Democrat socialists to take over our county. And when other counties see what is happening in Denton, the same “not on my watch” spirit will spread.

Melinda put it plainly: “You can help get at least 10 people to the polls by using this app. I say we could easily get 5,000 people to the polls because it will tell you and help remind you.”
There is another practical benefit. When you sign up and list the Denton County Republican Party as your organization, the party receives a small payment for each contact or household. That money goes straight back into the fight: more billboards, more push cards, more support for our candidates this November.
